Externals are cheaper per gig and you would now have a nice backup of your stuff. If you have hundreds of gigs of files to copy, you would want to get an external hard drive to put those on. How any files are we talking about copying over? Up to a few gigs or hundreds of gigs? Provided you are only copying stuff like Documents, Photos, Videos, Music. ![]() Wyrenuts suggestion to the other person for using a USB Thumb drive is the easiest/quickest method to transfer your data files.
